More LIFE Programme, Less Food Safety?

This week in Strasbourg, the European Parliament will debate and vote on LIFE Programme, on environment, and on the new EU Food Safety Chain Regulation. On food security, the European Parliament seems to disagree on the increase of EFSA’s budget by 80%. EFSA is the EU Agency on Food Safety and Members judge positively its work and not necessary to charge it with new obligations.
